Our Favorite Fall Wedding Ideas to Plan a Beautiful Autumn Celebration

While we love spring, summer, and winter weddings, there's something very special about fall as a season and a time to host your wedding. It just makes us think of cosy evenings by the fire, crunching colorful leaves on the ground, and all of the pumpkin spice. Fall is a magical time of year!

Fall is such a romantic and beautiful time of the year to get married, and planning a wedding at this time of year is so beautiful. Here to make your wedding planning easier is some seasonal inspiration with our favorite autumnal wedding ideas! Embrace the season by using these ideas and wedding themes for fall to bring your autumnal vision to life.

Prepare to fall in love!

FALL COLOR PALETTE

One of my favorite things about Fall and planning a Fall wedding, is the gorgeous colors that are around at this time of year. Nature really pulls out all the stops with some of its most stunning colors to celebrate your love! Another thing that is so great about fall wedding color palettes is that you can play around with darker, richer hues that wouldn't necessarily be ideal for spring or summer weddings.

Inspired by the changing of the season, the best fall wedding colors are burnt orange, hunter green, gold, terracotta, burgundy, mustard yellow, dark purple and wine red. If orange and yellow aren’t really for you, you can still emanate fall using jewel tones such as ruby red, sapphire blue, emerald green, and amethyst purple, as a glamorous and elegant alternative.

SEASONAL WEDDING FLOWERS

For a beautiful fall wedding, it needs to incorporate all things nature-inspired. So a great way of doing this is to have seasonal flora and fauna for your bouquets and decoration. From rustic-inspired arrangements to more romantic mixes, there are so many gorgeous flowers in season at this time of year for you to choose from depending on the style of your decor.

Flowers that are in bloom during fall are Dahlias, Sunflowers, Chrysanthemums, Ranunculus, Roses, Astrantia, Cosmos, Sedum, Clematis, Hydrangea, Carthamus, Orchids, Calla Lilies, Yellow Craspedia, Trailing Amaranthus, Astilbe, Thistle, Protea, and Anenomes.

Don't just limit yourself to flowers when you're decorating your autumn wedding venue. Seasonal fruit such as pumpkins, plums and blackberries all tie in beautifully with seasonal flowers. You can even add fall leaves to give an extra volume and autumnal feel.

FALL TABLESETTING

Designing your table setting is a great way to really add extra fall vibes to your wedding. This is a real opportunity to get creative, use your color palette and be innovative with decorations. Adding colorful fall foliage to centerpieces is one the most stylish and easiest ways to create a seasonal tablescape.

From seasonal flowers and greenery in warm hues to wooden details, plaid linens, and plenty of pumpkins, there are so many ways you can create a fall tablescape. Look at boho options such as woven placemats, grasses in vases, candles and rust fabric. Or be more simple with neutral linens, pastel blooms, greenery and pampas grass plus candles
