Spring Wedding Inspiration: Top Advice for Planning Your Spring Wedding

Spring might not have sprung just yet, but if you are planning for your Spring 2024 wedding, it will soon come around! Unsurprisingly, Spring is a very popular time for weddings, with the longer warmer days, the abundance of flowers and an exciting feeling of new beginnings. There’s definitely something very magical about a wedding in the Spring time.

While the season can easily set the tone for your wedding day, there are plenty of details you will need to think about when creating the perfect Spring wedding. There are so many ways to bring that fresh spring feel to your wedding decor. You can include pastel spring colors throughout your stationery, your table decor and bridesmaids’ dresses! Make the most of all the beautiful varieties of available flowers in spring and include plenty of flora throughout your venue and reception.

If you’re planning for a Spring wedding, here are a few things to think about.

Choose seasonal styles and colours

The seasonal color palette for Spring includes gentle pastel colors, neutral shades and warm bright tones. Including some fresh spring color into your wedding color scheme is the perfect way to embrace the season. Shades of greens, purples, pinks, oranges and yellows all work beautifully in floral arrangements, table centerpieces, table linen, chair covers and overall decor.

Choosing seasonal flowers that bloom in the Spring time is the best option when it comes to your wedding flowers! Some of our favorite spring blooms include peonies, roses, tulips, hyacinths, anemones, calla lilies, hydrangeas, sweet peas, and ranunculus

Spring Food & Drink

As well as considering the season when it comes to your flowers, you can also tie in the Springtime theme into your food and drink options. There is such an abundance of delicious fruit and vegetables available at this time of year, so you might as well make the most of it!

Your venue or wedding planner will be able to assist you in finding a professional chef who is happy to work alongside you to create a bespoke seasonal menu that compliments your wedding theme.

Continue the theme into your drinks and serve fresh Spring speciality cocktails that feature apples, elderflower, lemon or even floral printed ice cubes.

Romantic lighting to set the scene

Unlike a Fall or Winter wedding, candlelight can be used in a more delicate way in the Spring. Consider using clear glassware styles across the tables, entrances, window ledges, staircases and in hallways. Use fairy lights in a twinkling, minimal Spring style to create an elegantly romantic ambience.

Embrace the outdoors

Why not say “I Do” outside? When we think of Spring, we think of sunshine, warm days, bright mornings and the colourful scent of fresh flowers sprouting new growth. What better time of year to spend your special day embracing the outdoors and nature!

You could arrange for your photoshoot after the ceremony with your friends and family to be outside and benefit from all the natural light that comes with a typical Spring day. Or, host your pre-wedding or post-wedding drinks outside so guests can celebrate with you in the fresh Spring air.
