Choosing the perfect venue

Make sure the venue is suitable for a Winter Wedding. Some venues are just perfect for winter weddings, with open fires, a cozy atmosphere, fireplaces and astonishing foyers (perfect for a big, breathtaking Christmas Tree!). Decorate the outdoor area with lots and lots of fairy lights. Make sure to leave lots of blankets out for guests who wants to enjoy the outdoors.

End the night with a wonderful fireworks display or let the guests release paper sky lanters for an extra magical touch (but make sure they are biodegradable!).

EMBRACE the theme

If you’re planning on having a wedding on Christmas or New Years, the theme is pretty much set for you, so embrace it fully by incorporating the colors and vibes of the season! Want a Christmas Wedding? Decorate the venue with Christmas trees and mistletoes, hang stockings on the wall (or fireplace, if the venue has one!) and decorate the tables with apples, pine cones and holly. If you’re having a New Years wedding, choose a color palette of black and white, gold or silver. Maximize the glamour with big table centerpieces, lot’s of candlelight and glitter.

CHEERS TO SEASONAL MENUS

Let the menu follow the theme! Serve champagne with pomegranate or cranberries and garnish with some rosemary. Leave jars of candy canes, cinnamon sticks and dried orange slices in the bar to let guests decorate their own Christmas drink. If you’re the kind of person who likes to go all in - create your own Christmas market by having stands with pretzels, mulled wine, eggnog and roasted chestnuts.

If you’re going for a New Years wedding, put edible gold leaves in the champagne, serve a grand wedding cake and sprinkle with glitter and gold!

Snowy 'I Do's

Picture saying 'I Do' in a winter wonderland - magical, right? Winter brings its own enchantment—imagine a snowy landscape, the cozy chill in the air, and the serene beauty of nature blanketed in snow. Embrace the winter setting as you exchange vows, creating an unforgettable moment among the wintry charm. Make sure you have a back up plan though, as the weather has a tendency to be a bit unpredictable, especially around this time of the year.
